Stillness of the Night

In the stillness of the night
When all our woes are tucked in tight
Your breath is warm upon my face
You have become my sacred place

I trace the curves of you body with my hand
You turn up my chin and softly demand
A pure and simple honeyed kiss
I find goosebumps, I find bliss

How many angels up above
Look down, and wish that they were us?

I long to speak but all I can say
Is that I love you and your name

As you lips find this time my forehead,
Each of my eyes and then my neck
Finally landing on my smile
Lingering for just a while–

For a moment all is right,
All of my woes are tucked in tight,
I hear your happy, quiet sigh
In the stillness of the night.
